List One:

rope, doe, toad, echo, throne, hoe, toast, stove, tiptoe, cocoa

 List Two: 

coaster, compose, tiptoe, explode, approach, mistletoe, episode, provoke, charcoal, broach

High Frequency Words for all students:

most, more, now, down, only

5 words to be determined by the spelling pattern of the week

Students have not studied these words.  I call them "Mystery Words."

No homework means no recess.  Please initial homework,

 letting me know that you've reviewed it with your child.

Homework must be done on notebook paper with a pencil.  Students are to put their name and number in the upper right corner.  They know the procedure for this! Not splashed across the top, please.

The new reading log for quarter 3 will be in your child's Friday folder on Jan.6th.

Monday: Reading Log: 20 minutes and write a sentence for each spelling word.  Sentences should show that you understand the meaning of the word.

Tuesday:   Reading Log: 20 minutes, Math problems 1-5. Remember to show all work on notebook paper.  Addition: Decomposing

Wednesday: Reading Log: 20 minutes, Math problems 6-10.  Remember to show all work on notebook paper.

Thursday:Reading Log: 20 minutes and study for spelling test.

Please continue to use XtraMath when time allows. 

Khan Academy:  You may begin using Kan Academy.  I have no real directions for this, so use it as you see your child needs practice or extra support.
