Spelling Pattern:  Long i vowel pattern

(-i_e,ie,igh,ind Trick Pattern=ye like rye)

List One:

time,bright,knife,pie,bye,tight,dye,write,kind,knight

 List Two: 

lightning,rewind,advertise,delight,bye,crocodile,describe,tonight,paradise,dye

High Frequency Words for all students:

them,done,where,could,was

5 words to be determined by the spelling pattern of the week

Students have not studied these words.  I call them "Mystery Words."

No homework means no recess.  Please initial homework,

 letting me know that you've reviewed it with your child.

Homework must be done on notebook paper with a pencil.  Students are to put their name and number in the upper right corner.  They know the procedure for this! Not splashed across the top, please.

Monday:  20 minutes of reading for reading log, ready for the folder on Monday!

Write a sentence for each spelling word 1-10 your list.

Sentence must be at least five words and some  meaning of the word can be determined by your sentence.

Tuesday:  20 minutes of reading for reading log

Past Tense Irregular Verbs Worksheet. Number your notebook paper and write the sentence that is correct. Irregular Verbs

Wednesday:  Math-Money Worksheet

Thursday: 20 minutes of reading for reading log

Please continue to use XtraMath when time allows.  I have moved students to subtraction!

Khan Academy:  You may begin using Kan Academy.  I have no real directions for this, so use it as you see your child needs practice or extra support.

Calendar:

Christmas Break:  Dec.19-Jan.3.  Students return to school Jan.4th.
